Overview
Mobibattle is a real-time competitive gaming platform where users can engage in instant battles on popular casual games. The client wanted to create an intuitive, dynamic, and feature-rich app that would resonate with India’s fast-growing gaming audience.
With gaming now a cultural phenomenon—particularly in the Indian subcontinent—the challenge was to build a platform that felt fast, competitive, and high-energy, yet was easy to navigate despite its complex feature set.
Core Features
Real-time 1v1 battles

The Challenge
Gaming apps today are either too cluttered or overly minimalistic. With Mobibattle, the brief was clear: design a visually striking, feature-heavy platform that doesn’t overwhelm the user. Balancing usability with visual excitement was key—especially for the younger audience who expect both performance and punch in a gaming app.Another design challenge was to organize a rich and multi-layered ecosystem that involved various play modes, user tiers, content, and transactions—while keeping the navigation intuitive and seamless.
UI & Design Direction
I started by researching how competitive gaming apps worldwide structure user flows and micro-interactions. After mapping user journeys and building personas around core gaming behaviors, I focused on creating a system that made it easy to discover, engage, and compete.Visual Style
Bold, Electric, and Dynamic.
This wasn’t a space for neutral colors or safe UI. The palette was built on neon contrasts, animated transitions, and high-energy gradients to reflect the thrill of real-time competition. Each interaction was designed to feel like part of a larger game world—from flickers on buttons to power-up animations. What inspired this style?
The young Indian gaming crowd is fearless. They love action, explore new things, and stay up at night chasing wins. The design needed to reflect that spirit. I wanted to break traditional UX rules and make the interface feel alive—like you’re already in the game before you even tap ‘Play’.Did I follow a specific design system?
While the design was customized to the game’s DNA, components were loosely aligned with Material Design principles for consistency across Android devices—our primary user base.Which details fill me with pride?
The seamless switching between solo, battle, and tournament modes.
The animated ranking bar and progress trackers.
Instant responsiveness—every tap feels rewarding.
The wallet UI, designed to make in-game currency feel tangible yet aspirational.
How does this design reflect user insights?
The layout was based on real gaming patterns—players often return to the same games and prefer easy replay. The home screen was centered around quick access, live challenges, and ranking prompts to drive engagement.
