Overview
Mercure Hotels, a globally recognized hospitality brand, approached us to design menus for all eight of their restaurants located within their Kathmandu property. The goal was to create menu designs that not only aligned with Mercure’s refined international standards but also reflected the unique essence of each individual dining space—ranging from rooftop lounges to cozy cafés.
Approach
Our design philosophy revolved around a blend of brand consistency and individuality. We conducted in-depth research on each restaurant’s theme, cuisine, and ambiance to ensure that every menu design felt like an extension of the space itself. From luxe fine dining to casual continental eateries, each piece had to speak its own visual language.
Design Scope
Menu Design for 8 Restaurants
Custom layouts and typography tailored to each outlet
Distinct color palettes and graphic motifs for individual identities
Iconography and layout that improved usability and visual hierarchy
Material & Finishing
Premium paper stocks and covers aligned with the restaurant’s style
Lamination, embossing, and UV finishes to add texture and durability
Functional binding methods for easy updating of seasonal menus
Global Brand Alignment
Every design strictly adhered to Mercure’s brand guidelines
Typography, color, and spacing reviewed to reflect global luxury standards
Impact
The final menus elevated the dining experience across all eight outlets. They not only reinforced the individual identity of each space but also created a unified, premium perception under the Mercure umbrella. The property now stands as an example of how thoughtful design enhances storytelling, utility, and brand recall in the hospitality space.
