The Challenge

As part of the Jaipur Lighthouse Smart City initiative, the Jaipur city wanted a digital touchpoint where citizens could easily access city services, participate in governance, and explore the city's offerings—all while promoting transparency and engagement. The platform needed to be scalable, easy to use, and designed to support multiple services in one cohesive ecosystem.

Our Approach

Designed the mobile application—focusing on simplicity, local relevance, and information clarity. The goal was to make the app feel approachable to people of all ages and tech backgrounds while also delivering on functionality and trust.

We structured the app around key user needs:

  • Discover Jaipur: Explore places to visit, shop, eat, and stay, with easy navigation and key contacts.

  • Access Services: View schemes, tender notices, property auctions, and community bookings.

  • Raise Concerns: File and track grievances with city departments.

  • Smart City Features: Real-time access to parking locations, smart lighting, and environmental data displayed on interactive maps.

What We Delivered

  • An end-to-end design system for a government-focused citizen app

  • User flows tailored to both digital natives and first-time smartphone users

  • Location-aware maps with layered smart infrastructure data

  • A clean, modular interface adaptable to new services and use cases

  • Local design language in line with the city's identity
